Dental implants are an increasingly popular option to dentures

Advanced technology makes for less-invasive dental implant procedures

Technology as it relates to dental implants continues to evolve, providing a more attractive option for our patients than the dentures preferred by past generations. Dr. Craig Janssen has invested in advanced digital systems that increase his ability to perform highly accurate dental implant procedures for long-term comfort.

Dental implants are anchored to the jawbone as opposed to dentures, which are held in place with adhesive or metal clasps. Composed of titanium, dental implants resist decay and act just like your natural teeth. The Janssen Dental Clinic team makes the process of dental implant surgery as comfortable as possible so you can enjoy eating and smiling again.

New system delivers highly accurate dental implants

Our new digital system helps Dr. Craig provide a higher level of accuracy during implant procedures. The system uses virtual-based registration to line up three points on a 3D scan of the patient’s mouth, and then the same three points on the patient at the time of dental implant surgery.

The X-Mark system enables Dr. Craig to perform this less-invasive form of surgery for more patients than he could previously. This includes dental implants of single teeth all the way through full-mouth reconstructions.

This technology is the first virtual patient registration process of its kind to receive clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The X-Mark and X-Guide systems are used by dentists in more than 35 countries around the world, and you have access to this advanced technology today at Janssen Dental Clinic.
